This weekend the Mike Swartz Racing team traveled to 191 Speedway for their season opener. After qualifying second it put us on the front row outside for the heat race. We managed to get up front at the start but then fell back to third. After several cautions we managed to get back up to second. While battling for first we ran into some trouble and had to pull off the track due to body damage. The Swartz Racing team and many others hustled to get the car back together for the feature where we started 6th. The Swartz Construction and Tree Removal Mastersbilt tried its best to make it to the front but ended up with a 3rd place finish. Thanks to all the crew and fans that helped us out this weekend!

Battling rain and cold weather the #38 Mastersbilt was able to make it to Willard Speedway, but due to low late model count we didn’t pull out the late model but decided to race the J6 modified owned by Mike Jones. Hot laps were just the start of bad luck for the J6 crew. After fixing the car we were able to qualify second. Before going out for the feature the Mike Jones Racing modified had some damage that had not been noticed before. The crew worked hard to fix the car before the feature, but after pulling out on the track bad luck hit the J6 crew and we were unable to start the feature. Thanks to Mike and Kelley Jones and to the Mike Swartz Racing crew.
